What is Hypnotherapy?

Firstly, let me reassure you. Hypnosis is not mind-control, and it doesn’t involve manipulating someone. Hypnosis is very safe, and you are in control and aware at all times.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful health and wellbeing intervention, which can re-train your mind by dealing with the cause of a problem, rather than just treating the symptoms. Achieving long lasting, life changing results. This is true for many issues we have in life, from trying to lose weight, dealing with stress and anxiety, or just trying to get a good night’s sleep.

Hypnotherapy can also heal, uplift, build confidence and improve performance.

You will be surprised to hear that most of us spend at least 60% of our day in hypnosis. When you are daydreaming or lost in your thoughts, engrossed in a movie or driving to work and wondering – How did I get here? You are in hypnosis!

As a Hypnotherapist, I serve as the facilitator, guiding you into a pleasant state of relaxation, similar to that of a guided meditation.

What happens in the Hypnotherapy session?

I like to provide a holistic, client-centred approach, where we will focus on your well-being as a whole.

Once you are comfortable, relaxed and settled, I will take you on a beautiful journey, where your conscious mind will be gently guided into a state of relaxation.

Whilst under hypnosis we will establish the cause(s) using Neuro Linguistic Programming Techniques (NLP) Inner child and Gestalt Therapies to release non-constructive thoughts, people, feelings, habits, fears, phobias & emotions. The subconscious mind will then be reprogrammed to boost confidence and aid relaxation.

You will be provided with a recording to take home and listen to, preferably daily. These recordings will embed the sessions, creating new positive pathways in your mind.
